Gotti Wheels Interest
I have a set of Gotti wheels in very nice shape that I just pulled out of storage. I had them on my 79SC.
Polished/painted center caps, polished lug nuts and 2 spacers for the rears. They still wear a set of 2003 dated Yokohamas that can go with them or removed if better. What would be the interest on them and value range? If it is worth my while I'll clean them up and measure the off set and some detailed pictures. Thanks in advance Sawyer |

I had a similar polished deep dish set and I honestly had a hard time giving them away. Mine were true 3 piece and super light. I finally traded them for a set of one off wheels. I think I had them listed at $900 and kept reducing the price from there with no takers.
That was a few years ago and maybe things have changed.

I really like the Gotti wheels but it’s not a wildly popular opinion.

I'm personally a fan of Gottis and have had them on two different racecars. They seem to be generally thought of as "80s / Miami Vice wheels." Yours seem to be in good condition which is a bonus. It's a little hard to tell from the pic but do they may have the name Etoile or Gotti on the face. Pretty much the same thing, Etoile took over production of Gottis at some point. I might guess $1000 as a starting point. Take a look at eBay sold listings (it's an advance search option) to check actual sale prices, as a benchmark.

Thanks guys, for some reason I didn't get a notice of responses. I just listed them in the for sale to see what happens. The previous owner of my 79 seems to have "updated' the car at some point.
Added a tail, Gottis, stereo, Ungo alarm and cheap production paint job in the original color. My wife who actually found and bought the car loved the wheels and tail. After I bought her a different car she gave me the SC and I removed all of the above. I'll see how it goes, I can really use the space they take up. Thanks again for all your input. Sawyer |

I like the Gottis. Run them on this Daytona/Sebring veteran IMSA GTO car

Hi ryans65, these are 16" stock SC width.
VZ935, wow those barrels are a bit deeper than mine. They do go well on a 911, my wife was not happy when I put the Fuchs back on and removed the tail. Sawyer |

@sawyer - you might mention the diameter and width in your ad. I don't think it mentions that info. So they are 6 and 7 x 16?

Hi stownsen914, I did mention 16" in stock SC width.
With the tires on is there a way to measure the width? I didn't state specifically the measured width due to the tires but they do wear the stock 205 & 225 16". Sawyer |

If you lay them flat on the floor and put a board across the top of the tire, you can measure from the floor to the board. Then subtract out the amount the tire bulges past the rim (x2). And subtract another 3/4" for the tire bead lips.

Ok, here is what I come up with using the recommendation of stownsen914.
Hope this helps as it seems the rims are wider than stock with stock size tires mounted. See if this make sense: F&R 16" Front 7.125 wide with a 5 3/8" offset Rear 9.375 wide with a 9 3/4" offset So just round up to 7 & 10" wide rims? Hi Racerbvd, that makes sense. They fit the wheel well clearly inside.
The 1/4 inch spacers are for the rear to ever so slightly clear the trailing arm hardware and still stayed inside. I'll either just dump the tires or figure out some sort of caliper to measure around the tire. The tires are only good to use as rollers. They look like new but are too old to run on the road. You can also cut two pieces of straight wood or metal the same size as the rims. Make sure the wood only touches the rims and not the tires.
Put one piece on each side and measure the distance between. I had the same experience as others with the Gottis that came on my 930 I could hardly give ‘em away.
