This "BAT censors negative comments" conspiracy theory has to stop already

Interesting to see alive and well in 2023, the Pelican conspiracy clowns who claim BAT censors ALL negative comments. Wrong, there are tons of BAT auctions where negative stuff is not removed. So, there goes your idiot theory. End of story.

BAT throttles problematic posters, who post suspect distracting unconstructive noise, as they should. If you've gotten flagged for moderation, then it's probably for a good reason, NOT because you posted negative comments, but unconstructive comments!

With some basic filtering moderation, you are left with an auction site to find remote cars, devoid of loudmouth car guy know-it-all who are mostly full of useless noise who have nothing better to do who will never buy a single car themselves. Good riddance, and makes the comments easier to navigate without the personal grudge match that most car guys harbor in their daily interactions, on and offline.

Gotta love a guy who partially reads a bumped thread, where I posted an example of them NOT censoring the critical posts, and he starts a new thread to rant.

Sigh. They moderate at the selling dealers discretion. I have been flagged or my post simply fails to show up multiple times when being polite and asking relevant questions. Other auctions this does not happen. Many other polite, knowledgeable folks here on the forum have been censored as well. Knowledgeable folks who are asking questions to help prospective buyers. I think that is a good thing although it sounds like you do not.

Read this thread and you will get an idea.

My posts have also been moderated, in some instances they won’t even post what I have written and nothing was inaccurate. I mostly post for the Boxster Spyder, a car I have owned for 12 years, worked on and continue to stay in touch with other owners in the world.

As noted, the whole reason BAT became so popular is the fact that experts could chime in and tell you about the car you’re considering purchasing. When that gets filtered and what shows up at your door two weeks later doesn’t look anything like the car in the photos the word will eventually get out and they will start seeing a drop in sell through amounts.

Ha! Most 911s guys bring me from BAT need minimum $10K to address issues. Most need a heck of lot more. An excellent venue for sellers though.
