Well taken Macroni. I entered this forum innocently, got molested by trolls or can I say even members who wanted to Lord it over me. I was innocent, got attacked, fought back. So where do we go from here?? Once on Early S too, same thing happened. I just told the Mod to delete my posts, my membership -- never been back. This is not the Tech forum, and lots of bullsh-t threads dominate the mpf annually/perpetually. So what is your idea of a perfect world and how to get there on mpf? I only visit this one from time to time. It's a small world here... could be bigger, but please let me know how it could be become better. I can't visualize it myself.

My rule of thumb is to be constructive not destructive, do not write to offend.

It will take the majority to make a change in tone but it starts with the individual poster. They need to weigh their words, they need to think before they post about how their words will be received.

Around here, I would recommend let bygones be bygones and start w/ your next post.

Adam

Sorry, I stole your interesting thread..... please tell us about the motor.

It is worthy of its own thread highlighting the build or is there already one but I missed it.

I just realized I had watched a couple of Wray’s videos on YouTube but (obviously) had no idea that was your car, Adam ! The 550 is in my opinion one of the greatest cars ever created. Do you have a timeframe goal for the mechanical?

I’ve got a friend local to me that has built a few 4 Cam engines and they are works of art, I feel privileged to have seen them up close.

Dude, just this morning I was chatting with another member about what a rare and special skill it is to know how to rebuild a 4 cam. Bow down to your friend.

I'd share a foxhole with noodles any day of the week if he'd have me.

Excellent advice I believe Macroni! This is my next post so already carrying on with your intuition and wisdom. I will do my best to fall in line with that rule of thumb, a good one! Letting bygones be the same is also wise and correct. Thank you for the thoughts and the elder statesman posture. I do appreciate it very much!

Are there enough warriors on PPMF to form a platoon?

Let bygones be bygones as noodles say. I have always liked you and I still respect you. Sorry for all the sh-t I've dealt you over time. If you can give me some grace, I'll give it right back to you. Hope so.

Otherwise, keep on the Jeep hobby or Porsche etc. I will enjoy hearing the latest from you! Gonna post a garden box pic or two soon, some project I have worked on just slowly from spring time one day a week, maybe on the rawknees thread one day soon. Take good care of youself Toby! You're a cool dude and a good man!

Never give up. So true. It's inspiring me. The 2.7 engine needs to get done. I'll be working on it soon.

Love that metal work on the front nose. Amazing.

Hey Mar! That was way cool to see! Especially cool to see you and Adam, which I wanted to see. Adam can seriously RAP, I mean he hardly gave you a chance to interchange. Just shows how good he is to keep you on your heels .... car dealers. I still think you could be a movie director. You remind me of Leonardo De Caprrio, look sort of like him but he's an actor. You might think of acting and directing one day like Clint Eastwood. You're just as skilled at both. Great to see Adam first time besides his many still photos. Got to hand it to him, I mean he's a one of a kind in the Porsche bus. I've always let him know how jealous I am, saying... I wish I could save them all. Someone has to do it and I guess he was chosen for that work. Good on him.

Hey Bernie,

Thanks for checking out the video. It was definitely a cool show hosted by Pete's Custom Coachbuilding and Adam brought some nice treasure with him.

They say do what you love and you will never work a day in your life! Some find that passion sooner than others. Everyone is on a different timeline

I've interviewed hundreds of people, everyone from Sir Stirling Moss to Pam Grier, and I can tell you this. A good interviewer asks good questions and hopes they get the person talking freely, that's when you get the good stuff. So you sit back and let it flow. Mario has that part down, he asked balanced questions and took time to listen to the answers.
But an interview is not a conversation, not a good interview.

Thanks! It was fun and I'm sure we'll hear even more good stories to come!

Fair enough. So I guess it was all scripted from Mar to you and back? Fair enough. Nice to see you in action! Nerer seen you like that before so for me it was real fun! It takes one special person to sell a car, another to buy one and for a profit. Just my humble opinion.
