That I can't tell you. Kardex said 1969 S motor but I can't find that paperwork. I did find paperwork for the rebuild, 2.2 now. It''s in a 67 912 body. Back to a P shop today for some minor work. Not for sale unless someone has the right VIN # which I doubt.

Oh, ok. You’re looking for a chassis, not an engine. I was asking for a type number or spec of the engine because I have several out in the barn. I don’t have a chassis back there.

Chassis number is 458198, '67 Karmann 912. ROW or grey market. I'm probably the fourth owner. Second owner, at a guess, gave it +/- 930 suspension. I have no clue how I got lucky in my 20's for the work I had done. Didn't even know about corner balancing then but it's been done.

What I'm really looking for is conformation of the engine ID.

From: https://www.early911sregistry.org/forums/showthread.php?52295-Type-901-xx-Engine-Build-s

Should be 1970/71 S motor. 2.2 liter. The type should be stamped on the motor to confirm.

Originally it was a 2.0. Spun a main bearing and had it rebuilt to 2.2. Wasn't even 30 YO's old at the time but somehow I knew enough to add hydro tensioner's and piston 'squirters'.

I'll get the build #. I forgot about the Early Registry so thank you.

Picked it up today, It's dry here so drove it home. Here are the numbers;
234079 trans ID stamp
901/10-19767 engine ID stamp
6390793 engine ID stamp

I'll cross post to the Registry but I'm just curious as to what chassis this combo came out of.
