What's your over/under on this car on BaT?

Unabashedly showing ~200k miles and plenty visible rust. Hard to fix without ending upside down I imagine.

But a lovely '70s brown color and a nice-looking interior. For the right price, maybe drive it until the wheels or body panels literally fall off then part it out?

Isn't the color paint Sepia and not bitter chocolate. I have owner 2 Bitter Chocolate 1975 Carreras and 1 Sepia 911 SC. I have photos and this car sure looks like Sepia to me.

According to Rennbow, Sepia was only available on longhoods and got replaced by Bitter Choc on Middies

The COA on my last Carrera listed the color to be Bitter Chocolate and I remember it being a little darker than Sepia.

It's going to be a brown submarine
Unless you do all the work yourself and get the parts at cost

It’s chocolate brown, but I’d be bitter if I bought it.

I think roblav is a bit high, dollar-wise. I'm at 25k plus or minus 3.5. It really needs everything and when you are done, you have a brown midyear.

If I may dare ask... at an eyeball, based on pics, if someone wanted to have the work done at a shop in CT named after a shaggy canine companion, what kind of ballpark would one be looking at? something like $15k for the rust repair + $20k for the paint?

I still maintain $35k. It's an S, slick top coupe, and the tub is in pretty good shape. I see a future backdate on that one. Rust is on the parts that get s**tcanned or sold. Having had a 72 in Sepia, I sure dislike that color. All the paint has to come off anyway.

worth noting, if memory serves all '76's were S's and that tub should be partially/mostly galvanized.

also, cool, one year only dash with no speaker or center vent...

I agree that this might just be the rare car where the rust looks worse than it actually is. Still needs just about everything.

Thanks!

As far as the auction goes, maybe I'm pessimistic but I think it might end with a 2 handle... I'll say $28k.

While many of us don’t like them, these middie browns make some people stupid silly. $37,500.
