275hp at 6500 from a 2.2?
|
That would be 101ft-lbs torque per liter; not happening from a 2-valve head without a turbo.

I know some Shops have some very "happy" dynos though. One shop in CA (not a Porsche specialist AFAIK) constantly quotes dyno figures yet I've never seen a sheet from them and the stated HP is really impossible for what the motor is. Let alone the camshaft used. They are popular among the Datsun Z guys. And don't even get me started on the games you can play with chassis dynos. Chassis dynos are good for selling parts and that's about it really. |
Chris,
A 1970 911s 2.2l makes 180hp at 6500tpm. |

Mine will be on a dyno sometime around May 2025. If I remember I'll post real world numbers. Best guess is 170-190hp.

The ad does say it has bigger bores, so it might be a short stroke 2.5 or something similar. But even then, 2.5l ST engines were “only” 250hp., and at 8000

I was young and sorta smart, Have the paperwork for the 2.2's. Not smart enough to know about the cam grinds, probably stock 2.0 s. Dyno is strictly for MFI tuning. Data will be a perk.
Orchard grass is up, rain. That's the reason the car is sitting inside til spring. To bad you are a few states away. I'd trade tractor time for knowledge:) |
