Stuck shock on 85 Carrera.
I noticed my car was lower on the drivers side and I found the shock was stuck down a few inches . What is the best way besides replacing it to pop it back up in place? Thank you , Nick.

It reduces the value of your car by $5k. Sell it now or properly repair it. Maybe a thread in Tech could point you towards how to replace that blown strut.

It’s all good. Just giving you a little grief. I do suspect you’ve got strut replacements in your future. Get the Bilsteins.

Thanks Matt. My P car shop told me to jack up the car for several hours , let wheel hang for several hours. Shock did come down enough for me to drive to my shop for new shocks.

You’re going to be amazed at the change. We don’t notice how far off they’ve gotten over time until they are back. Seems minor, but it will have a crispness to the driving that it’s lost.
