What is a set or American set of 40 IDA carbs brand new worth?

Are they okay to use or are made in Italy carbs better.

They don't make them any longer so "new" is not a thing. I paid $1500 for an Italian made set about 8 years ago that were in great shape for my 75S on a 3.oL built motor. I knew the history on them as I'd owned the same exact pair previously, so I was not concerned of them needing a rebuilt. If what you have are old stock that's never been used time can takes its toll on them as well.

Have you research costs in the classified? PMO is an option as well, you can get those new, actually new with a couple advancement that are handy, the windowed float level being one. I paid $2500 for a lightly used set of 46's for my spec car. In both instances my OE dizzy was recurved by Jerry Woods.
