Early whale tail value
I’ve got an early factory tail I believe it’s from a 2.7 rs [no second grill] no rubber. What’s a fair price for a factory piece?

I'll try to get the ball rolling for you here with the comments I left on your Rennlist thread:
Check out this thread: https://forums.pelicanparts.com/pors...mentation.html I don't think it would have been on a 2.7 RS. I believe they all had ducktails. An original 2.7 RS ducktail would be worth around $10K. I think this is a mid- to late-1970's tail with the center metal reinforcement for the latch and the half-moon cutout on the left side. It kind of looks like there used to be a 911SC badge on the back. Maybe $500 without the rubber? Not really sure, perhaps more if it is an earlier tail. Curious what folks here think as well. Mark

More than once, I've paid $3000 each for these early whale tails found on Carreras starting in 1975. The last of them were found specifically on the Weissach eddition SCs.
