Some price opinions?

If that car where in the Bay Area it would probably sell for about 8-10K depending on the engine condition. Looks like a pretty nice car but not the purest example.

Check this one out on Craigslist.....

It appears all the mechanical work has been done on that car. The only downside is that it probably doesn't pass CA emissions in it's current state and might have ton of miles on it.

Personally, I'm not sure what's going on with this car and feel if accurately represented it is way under market value. Parts value alone on that should easily surpass $8500. Honestly I think 12-13K might be a more realistic number for that car if he actually has all the receipts.

The car drives O.K. and it has been repainted. It was formerly brown (trunk area shows that) and the seat leather is worn but the rest of the interior is alright. I know that there is one broken head stud. No engine upgrades and is almost completely stock form. No known history or receipts.

It's a shame, cars like this may be worth more parted out.

He's probably better off selling this car to someone who has never heard of this forum or owned a Porsche. I'm not sure what the appeal of this car would be other then to just say you own a 911. Most 911 buyers wouldn't be able to live with the repaint or the broken head stud.....So $10,000 and 6 months later you have a car that is worth something in the low teens with a limited market. Sounds familiar......

Time to polish the fan but no oil fed tensioner upgrade? Too much bling for me. With broken head studs, a color change and not being a coupe, you are looking at 6k tops. Yes, it will be worth more parted out, but that's often the case. Remember, parting out is work.
