1974 roller
I found a roller. It has everything but the engine and tranny, it was taken down to bare metal and repainted white. what do you think is worth. I'm thinking btween 2-4K
I would think a 3l and tranny would run about 4-5K and you would have a nice car for around 6-9K hat do you guys think |

I would budget a little more for the engine and transmission. I would expect to pay 4-5K for a solid 3.0L engine, then 700-1000 for a solid 915 transmission. You can get a transmission for $500, but it will probably have some worn synchros in it. With a mid-year car you do not typically have a front mounted oil cooler, that is necissary for a 3.0L engine. So you'll have to budget for the lines and at least the trombone cooler. Not far beyond your estimates, but not cheap either. You would have a nice light car with a 3.0L engine though. Could be a fun project.
