928 Values / Market going up!
I have notice that these cars a few years back hit rock bottom with pricing. The time is changing and car values are moving upward. A complete parts car is going for $2500 to $3500 that needs total restoration. Used parts pricing is more than 911 items due to limited aftermarket items and available dismantlers.
Porsche in 2010 will be bringing back the 928. What are you seeing for values of these cars? Future value going up. Comments. |

928 market is a tough one. Remember well preserved examples of ANY model will always sell at a premium. One disadvantage to "restoring" 928's is aftermarket parts availabilty AND cost. Sure, buy a "parts" car for $3500 and drop another $10-15K to restore it to pristine condition? Doesn't make sense now and likely won't for another 10 years.
I'm not sure the prices are really moving upwards. Do you have any price points? Dollar adjusted prices? Heck, if gas jumps to $3-4/gal, who wants a "thursty V-8" ![]() The return of the "928" in 2010 will not help values of the orginal 928s. Just like the Boxster did not help the values of original 914's. The cars are SOOO different in feel and drive that the appeal doesn't overlap.
