Value? '75 2.7 RS euro engine w/ MFI

Recently I did a search on '75 2.7 RS euro engines w/ MFI and came across the following thread:

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/showthread.php?postid=2900067#post2900067

I was inquiring about current value of a '75 2.7 RS euro engine w/ MFI but didn't really get any new info.

Do any Pelicans here have an opinion of current value of one of these engines?

I don't have compression or leakdown results but we believe the engine to be in good condition with rebuild history.

Thanks for the help,
-Scott

That is a little hard to say since they do not come up for sale too often. If it is complete with all the correct MFI parts (correct part #'s not rebuilt to 'RS' specs. stuff) and has good compression/leakdown #s it could be in $9K to 11K range, maybe a bit more. One of the best ways to know is to put it up for auction.

Yeah I might be light on my value range. Oddly enough there is a '74 911/83 motor on eBay now. The seller has quite an aggressive BIN price.

There is also a '73 911/83 motor on eBay also which should sell at a substantial premium to the later year motors.

Looks like the '74 911/83 motor reached $10K but didn't meet reserve.

Also the auction has been hijacked by a seller from China. Here is the listing.
