I found a "local" 964 C2 cab for sale that sounds like it has a full engine rebuild in it's future. It's a manual gearbox car, silver with gray leather interior. I don't know much else about it and haven't seen pics yet, so assuming the rest of the car is in good condition, what would you estimate this car to be worth?

Hey Michael,
I see '90 C2s often for under $20k, sometimes under $15k. If you are looking at a rebuild, that is expensive (as I am sure you know) so to me personally, it's not worth that much.....maybe a little more if you already have a cheap(ish) motor lined up. Otherwise, I wouldn't want that for any more than $8-10k. There are just too many others out there at sub-20k ranges. just my opinion of course ![]() -Chris

90 and 91 cars have a bad reputation, and are hard to sell.
It isn't they are bad cars, but the engine seal issue and clutch issue, really hurt these cars. Rob |

Yeah, I talked to the owner some more and found out there are two cylinders with virtually no compression, so the engine would likely need a full rebuild. He has a deposit on the car right now so I'm going to wait and see what happens. I have some connections so I could rebuild the motor for a fairly reasonable amount of money. I also found out the car is a targa, not a cab. He had it listed as a convertible which is why I assumed it was a cab.
