There is a reserve price on the auction. You can bid 20k, but that won't buy the car.

I guess I am just thinking in terms of if someone wanted an early car with a 3.6 and SC flares ... a descent 74 would be in the ball park of around 10K then 3.6 and conversion parts and you are already at 20K. then 17" 3 piece fuchs upgraded sc brakes... flares, paint job I bet the guy has 2x the 20K into it.

My old Varioram 3.6 SC went for 30k......but then again the paint was not good, but everything else was completely rebuilt. FWTW.

They went cheap on the brakes. SC brakes will not hold up to a 3.6 on a track. There should be turbo brakes on this car. But of course, that's only a 3k upgrade, so just factor it into the price and do your own brakes.

Otherwise the parts on the car are quality items, like the roll bar, shifter and the heavy SRD seats.

100% correct. SC brakes are very marginal for track use - on a regular SC.

Yes, I was speaking from experience. My 81 SC was 2575 pounds and may have had 200 horsepower on the lightly modified 3.0. The brakes only were good until I got reasonably quick on the track. I was looking at uprgading to turbo brakes to be able to keep up with my driving.

You know the end of the story. I got big reds - 18 inch fikse and a 3.6 upgrade instead. Did I mention working a/c?

George
