Keeping another one on the road vs parting out
Short story: 78SC non-sunroof coupe, 265k miles on chassis. From what I can tell, about 25k on the engine.
I am leaving the Porsche world for a little while. I bought an M3, and the Porsche needs to go. The chassis is showing it's age. The drivetrain is strong. Needs front suspension pan repair or replacement, rebuilt rear suspension, and new interior carpet. Interior, otherwise, is in great shape. A/C is upgraded and blows very cold for an aircooled 911. Due to the miles, I do not see this car fetching anything over $10k. I think it would be closer to $9k, so I'm thinking about parting out the car and selling the roller. Two fellows have expressed interest in the Euro chassis for backdate projects. Where do you draw the line between loyalty to the marque and your wallet? Thanks Pelicanites, Jurgen |

I would feel better off that the parts are used to keep two additional Porsche's on the road then just rotting away.
Sell for $9,000 or see if you can get more parting it out. It's up to you.
