Ok second time on Epay last listing closed just about a month ago with a high bid of $ 15,500 not meeting reserve, now it is back up again.

I'm not a fan of the Slantnose but it does seem nice and has all the paperwork.

Its been up a couple of time... Looks nice just from the pics if thats what you're looking for it surely cant hurt to investigate further. Didnt it have a buy it now price in one of its past auctions?

I have only seen it once about a month ago, it did not sell or meet reserve, there is not that much info in the listing, when I wrote the guy he turns out to be a broker and stated that he does not know anything about " these " car's but that it has been well maintained at the same shop for 20 years,

Miles are high for having no major work done , he also mentioned that the owner had turned down 18K so it would take more than that to but it, last time out it only made 15.5 when the auction ended.

I have been looking for a slant for awhile , but would sure feel alot better not buying one from Epay.

If have bought and sold on eBay it can be a useful tool, but each time I ended up waiting for the auctions to end and then going to the seller/buyer directly. I know its sort of in violation of eBay's policy but it gives you the opportunity to do a lot more homework and get a deal don’t that works for both parties.

Like I said it cant hurt to do some DD on this car if its up your ally, I don’t have a good handle on its value since I don’t know much about the car. Maybe there is a board member whose close by and can swing over and see it in person as a starting point.

Okay I just read the eBay add again and there is no good info on it. Those are a decent chunk of miles on it not to know much about his mechanical history. I would be concerned about the top end and more about the 915 syncros.

My guess is the broker needs to make his vig and the car is priced well above what the market would pay for it. They may have the luxury of sitting on it and waiting for that special buyer.

Yeah the miles are scary for that kind of money , even if the info is there it is only a matter of time if that engine / tranny has never been touched which is the indication I get.

You know those SC motors can go on and on but they dont even tell you if its had the tensioner update or any indication of whats been done. I like the car but I just get the feeling the seller wants way more then the markets going to pay for a car thats basically a crap shoot IMHO.

The car's engine , suspension and tranny have not been touched , they are bone stock , the car has not even been in the shop in years , it did have a speedo change early in life which is why it shows 94K on the odo instead of 146+K like it should,
original paint with the front end nicks/dings that go along with a 146K car and a slight scrape over one wheel well, interior is also bone stock.

All in all not a 20K + car IMHO,

PS... I do have a car I will be selling either before or after the slant purchase , I just need the garage room only have five spaces and they are full with two more vehicles sitting outside lol.

I suggest following the link on ebay and get an autocheck report on ANT vehicle you are interested in! Nice looking slant in OH on ebay, follow the link and you will find some HISTORY!
