Value of used 3.0 engine (dead) and 915 Gearbox
Can anyone enlighten me on the value of a 1983 911 3.0 engine and 915 gearbox? The engine has undisclosed problems and would be considered a core but the gearbox appears to be in good condition. Thanks for the help.

I sold my core for 2k with a piston issue a while back, while I feel I sold cheap...cores go anywhere from 2k to 3.5k depending on issues

Frank,
Thanks for the reply. I figured about 2 to 3K for complete core with fuel injection, muffler, clutch, etc. so I was close. What do you think about the 915 gearbox in good order??? 2 to 3K as well? |

915 core would be lower i have seen them on ebay go for 500 to 1k ...
remember with cores you will have to fix them to get them back and running so figure that when you buy cores
