Upgrade my Turbo. What to do?

I've been looking at upgrading my current '02 996 tt. Looked at the new 07 turbo hardware and came away with the feeling like I was buying a MBZ SL65 rather than a P car.

On the other hand, I've also been looking at low mile '03 vintage GT2 cars. While these land rockets aren't latest and greatest, I kinda want to stick with a more seat of the pants P car. Yes, I saw that the new GT2 is going to be available first of the year, I'm reluctant to part with $200K+.

Most '02 or '03 cars with under 10K miles are going for about $110 - $120K sell price.

Would welcome your opinion.

Thanks,

Zorba

I would upgrade the 996tt. There is a lot of performance upgrades for the 996tt out there. You could add a pair of GT2 turbos and intercoolers, the possiblities are unlimited. My personal favorite upgrade is the autothority stage 5 ecu upgrade. Sure it costs 20k+ but you cant beat the 355 extra horsepower you gain( total HP= 770). Thats a deal compared to buying a brand new GT2 for 200k.
Alot of these performance parts can be bought here at pelicanparts, also performance products and lindsey racing

Here's a crazy idea, keep your car, & buy my 3.6 Turbo. I think it qualifies as a "more seat of the pants P car". Mine is probably the least expensive one on the market, & I'm in So Cal too.

What kind of upgrading do you want to do? Why? Its unclear to me how you use your TT and what you hope to get from a replacement or by updgrading.
