Project cars - Value As Is?
I have a 1969 911s and a 1969 911t that I am considering selling. These are both unfinished projects.
The 1969 911s is Crystal Blue with a black interior. The car is currently ready for paint according to the body shop although I would say assume that some minor prep and finish work will need to be done just to be safe. This 911s includes the original MFI engine and original 5 spd trans. Car was 100% original when I purchased it. The car was mechanically gone through before it was disassembled. I had the suspension redone at least including struts all around, tie rods and torsion bars, calipers rebuilt. The engine was freshly rebuilt when I purchased it. Leak down test was performed with results beyond expectation confirming rebuild quality. I have records of this and other work I had done including sorting the MFI. The trans was working well and also said to have been rebuilt. I drove this car for about 1000 miles before beginning the restoration and it was tight and a blast to drive especially at 5000 rpm's plus. Car comes with 5 original deep 15x6 Fuchs, original keys, window sticker, invoice, owners manual, jack, repair records, good MFI heat exchangers and muffler, and original blue tint glass, good original door pockets. Interior was in excellent condition other than the dash. The seat covers are unblemished (non sport) but the drivers needs to have the mechanics checked because it slips back under excelleration. Car may need new rugs. I have all new seals, Glasurit paint and some other parts to go with this project such as a proper but untested Blaupunkt Franfurt. The exterior and interior was taken down to bear metal as best I can remember. I do have some video of the project in the early stages. The gas tank was redone by Renuit which include a lifetime guaranty. Car can be sold with the original chrome or with replacement side chrome and bumper strips. I have good chrome/rubber bumper guards. The 911t is Coffee with a saddle interior. This car was taken down to bear metal inside and out with the exception of the underside. I have extensive video of this. Car is currently in the shop and about to be painted but still can be sold painted or not at this point. Car is original including radio, interior, etc. Interior is good with the exception of the carpet, dash and drivers seat bead by the bolster which is damaged. I would have repaired this since the seats are very good otherwise. It has new struts all around (Koni Red), turbo tie-rods and prob. some bushings. I have the original owners manual and some records. What was said to be the original engine is included. This engine was rebuilt before I purchased this project but I never ran it. I had the Webers rebuilt and added PMO intake spacers. The valve covers and sheet metal is powder coated. The heat exchangers are repainted in high temp paint and the muffler is NOS and also painted in high temp gray. The gas tank was redone by Renuit and includes a life time warranty. The trans is 5 spd. and was also rebuilt. The car came with the original steel chromed wheels and moon caps which I have. The rims should be re-chromed. The caps are nice with one ding if I remember correctly. I also have 4 refinished (Al Reed) deep six fuchs that can be sold with this car. I have all new seals, original glass with the exception of the windshield which is new, new headliner which will be installed. I have good chrome/rubber bumpers. I have all original exterior chrome and if I do not sell the new S chrome and bumper strips with the 911s I could include it with this 911. I have the interior along with door pockets which may need some help. I think this car was still missing one map pocket. Basically I have taken care of, or have all of the big things completed but probably not every little thing to complete both of these cars. I may sell one or both since I really can't seem to find the time to finish these projects. Any knowledgable help and direction to put a fair value on these 911's would be appreciated. You can respond here or at giuffrec@aol.com. Thanks-Chris Last edited by Stophos; 08-24-2007 at 09:29 AM.. |

If you are serious about selling the 69S I would be very interested in talking.

The S described like a 40 k +/- 5k car. The T in the teens.
