Thanks
Thanks Tom. As for boats.............it is true what is said. The two most exciting days in boat ownership is the day you buy it and the day you sell it. Thanks for the advise. I have learned from another member that the car has a questionable CarFax with double the miles on their report. People........

Carfax
I thought I would add a little more to the Carfax mystery. I just talked to a very nice fellow about his car for sale. He mentioned that the Carfax had an extra number on the mileage but had contacted them and he had the paperwork that cleared it up.
Carfax is not helpful so beware. Example, my Ford Explorer when bought had a Carfax, it showed nothing. Turns out the car had been in an accident. If the cops didn't show up to the wreck and the body shop didn't report it then guess what? The car has never been in an accident. It works the same on some poor slob that Carfax places an additional number in a report. The poor guy is now trying to sell a car with increased mileage. In summation, this whole Carfax program can put the screws to a seller and a buyer. The buyer may walk away from a car that may be legit with an incorrect Carfax report so the guy/girl passed on the vehicle when they maybe should have made a purchase. |
