What are these Fuchs worth?

6x15 polished. I'm assuming they are genuine. Will be viewing this weekend. Seller is asking $650.

It seems a bit high, I bet he is expecting a counter offer, unless they are a completely matched set period correct for your car in excellent condition and come with the polished, hubcaps, lugs and valve stem.

Its hard to tell until you see them.

What are the 15" Fuchs I see selling for $$$? How are these different? Is the date code a determining (price) factor?

I can spot the difference between 7" & 8" T/A "snowflakes" at a glance, but Fuchs confuse me...

What little I know of the deep 6s is the "heart" where the valve stem hole is. See the 11 o'clock position on this wheel. There are probably dates that make a difference for the long hood crowd.

Don't want to burst your bubble but they look like repo's in that picture. The spoke near the center appears very narrow which is a mark of a repo. Also repo's tend to have no casting part numbers; some have steel inserts where lug nuts seat. Quickest way to tell is looking at the spoke where they join together. On most repo's they are very narrow compared to the original fuchs.

Try taking a good photo of just one wheel, assuming they are all the same and we could tell for sure.

Do some more searching and get familiar where the part #s are and the authentic Fuch stampings are located, on the back of the wheel--there are lots of pics available on this site. Then, when you see the wheels, you will immediately know if they are repros or not. There are some other sites on the net with info on part #'s too. Just go into this well informed and you'll come our o.k. Given what I've seen around, 650 isn't bad if they are genuine and in good condition, even without caps.

Back to the original question: How much are the wheels pictured worth (assuming they are repo's)? I've been looking for a set of polished Fuchs (for the 914-6 conversion) and I don't necessarily have to have the real deal. I just don't want to pay too much.

Here's a closer shot of one wheel:

It is hard to tell with the polish on the wheel and overall quality of the picture but it still looks like a repo to me. Compare the spokes in the center to the picture shown above my original post and notice how the spoke appears much thicker or wider where it comes into the center. I wouldn't pay more than $75 to $100 per wheel if I was looking for repo wheels, (p.s. I am not looking for repo's).

non-early 15x6 can be had for under 1k per set.
