3.2 Heat exchangers
Is there any point in trying to sell exhaust parts from a 3.2? Do they ever need replacing? I've seen countless for sale here, on craigslist, and at swap meets, and yet I've never seen them actually sell.
I'm kind of wondering if I should just send mine to the scrap metal yard. I'd give them away, but it seems nobody would take them.

When I took mine off and put on SSI's they still looked in excellent condition. Like you I couldn't find anyone who wanted them and finally just threw them in the trash.

If you have the room, store the parts. They will be worth plenty in the future.
A guy I work with is into 1969 Dodge Chargers. He had 'em even before the Dukes TV stuff. He used to just toss parts that were broken figuring they would never be worth anything. Now, 25 years later, he's paying $500 for trim pieces that he tossed out years ago. He always warned me never to toss anything that you replace... Try restoring an old pre impact bumper 911. Nice original parts (no matter what they are from trim to exhaust to whatever) can command huge prices for nice stuff. |
