price check on gearboxes
- i have some spare gearboxes i might consider selling and need a ball park , fair price of their value, each....early turbo w/ and without limited slip , 915 mag cases w/and without , 915 alu case with limited slip , 914 boxes. - thanks guys.

do they work perfectly? hard to tell unless you've used them or rebuilt them. an unknown condition box sitting on the floor is basically core value unless proven otherwise. core prices are whatever someone is willing to take a chance on. sorry, no help.

I think 915 w/o and unknown history are $900 -$1200. The Ltd slip adds alot ~ $2k for an unknown box. Add a few hundred for an unknown alu vs mag.
If I got a good feeling from you and you promised it had been rebuilt in the last 20K miles and no grinding I would go up $500. Others would probably go more. The Turbo boxes bring some big bucks, never in the market I think I have seen "unknown" boxes north of $4K???
