I won't quibble with your math, which seems reasonable enough -- but I would gently point out that at $105,000 you will only break even for all your efforts. This does not seem an ideal goal as a way to spend $100k and a couple of years of hassle.

I agree. This would be a better project for an individual set up to handle it without having to pay as in my case "retail".

Well...I'm out...I really should have thought this through. It would take me 10 years+ to afford the complete restoration and that's not what I need to be focusing on at this point in life.
Even my T is a ridiculous extravagance at this point. Thank you for the sobering resto cost breakdown.

That 67S would be a great resto candidate, but its all about what you don't see.
Rust is everywhere in that car. And once you start digging into it you will find that everything possible nook and cranny will need to be repaired. It is a huge undertaking to bring just the shell of the car back. I cringe looking at the rust along the roof and the engine compartment and the unforeseen rust littered throughout the torsion tube area. It's there alright!! It is a cool car though... |

or have the money to afford it. A 67S similarly equipped is currently available for $90,000. It has a degree of pedigree but will need some minor work. This car would actually be a great car to restore it has all its parts which in a restoration is critical. Bought at the right price by a restoration shop this car could be flipped for a profit.
