price check of a '97 993 C2S

A friend of a friend is going to be selling a 1997 993 C2S, widebody.

Black on black, 37k miles, 6 speed, new Pirelli P Zero tires and fresh oil change.

He is second owner, purchased in Newport Beach Ca., car is now in Scottsdale.

WELL maintained, never abused

I follow the Early 911's not the newer ones, what are these actually selling for?

brokers usually have them in the high 40s. I saw one at 6speed for late 30's...which seemed like a smoking deal. Maybe low to mid 40s?

Also check out Autotrader.

I have seen similar cars in the low/mid $40K and higher mileage around $30k; mostly dealers.

These cars are overpriced IMHO due to their purported “rarity”; the sellers are counting on the one buyer who has to have that exact car.

I would use these asking prices as a very loose guide.

If you are not stuck on a 993, also consider 997, many are available in the high $40K; possibly a much better deal.

1 1/2 years ago, it would have been in the mid-50's to low 60's. Nothing easy anymore.

Just bought a nearly identical car for $35K. Market is very different at the moment.
