Price for RSR oil cooler?
A fellow Pelican is interested in this cooler. I think it is an original RSR and have no idea as to its value. Can anyone help?
Thanks, Ray ![]() ![]() |

I believe you're correct in the assertion that it might be a RSR style front oil cooler..
I've seen these on Ebay from Germany and also on Armando Serrano's web site, as far as I can tell from earlier prices in the past year are around 2000.00 asking...not certain if acheived..usually these were like new or as new condition,so likely half or 1000.00 easy thanks Bert

The oil-cooler in your post is not "RSR" (could be made RSR, but it's not at this point). It is missing the incorporated mounting brackets, which by the way, would otherwise specifically identify it as a "73' RSR", not just "RSR", the 74' RSR cooler is a very different BEHR part, see here 1974 Porsche 911 RSR Project - Scott St.Peters - Photo 16 photo - slidevalve911rsr photos at pbase.com. I sold a NOS 73' RSR BEHR front oil cooler and I'm very familiar with them, see here BEHR 911 RSR Front Oil Cooler (73') Photo Gallery by slidevalve911rsr at pbase.com - Here is a photo to the one I sold 1973 Porsche 911 RSR Front Mounted BEHR Oil-Cooler - Photo 3 photo - slidevalve911rsr photos at pbase.com Toni Fishman for his 73' RSR recreation 1973 Porsche 911 RSR 2.8 Liter - Toni Fishman Photo Gallery by slidevalve911rsr at pbase.com Here is another photo from a past eBay auction, the seller/owner also includes "Carrera" (implying 906?) in the description which is totally WRONG as it would NOT fit. When you read/see things like this, all it does is create doubt and confusion, see here 911 RSR 2.8 Liter Front Mounted BEHR Oil-Cooler eBay Feb 2005 $4,370 - Photo 1 photo - slidevalve911rsr photos at pbase.com Note how the oil-cooler in this post has both the inlet/outlet fittings oriented and pointing to the side (left), not towards the back/rear (pointing to the driver) as required and used by the Carrera 6 (906), see photo below... ![]() Incidentally, the core and overall dimensions on the 914-6 GT, the 73' RSR and the 906 are identical, the difference lays in the end-cap and the mounting brackets. Hope this helps... Armando ![]() PS: Is the photo of your BEHR front oil-cooler belongs in the IMSA 914 that was recently sold to Glenn Stazak?

Armando,
Thanks for the detailed info. I have already sold the cooler, along with the chassis it was in. Ray

bumping the topic
Hi Gents
![]() I have one of these Behr RSR 73 coolers for sale. It is not in good condition and would make a fair price. I am living in Germany. Any interest? |
