91 Turbo. What's it worth?

45.000 miles. Triple black. Clean carfax. Extremely clean.

What's it worth?

18 months ago, this would fetch 42 +/- 2k. With the recent re-pricing of assets (aka economic slide), it is anyone guess really. Are you selling or buying?

Hoping to buy. I think bluebook is $34,000 (meaningless). He's asking $45,000. (also meaningless). I want to make a reasonable offer.

I'd offer 38. 45 is this market is a joke (of course there's a car out there for 51...thats even worse). And I would not quote bluebook, as that is meaningless for older Porsches. At least find the last issue of Excellence to see what Bruce thinks.

911 turbo valuations appear in the October issues of Excellence and are (I believe) based on a retrospective market assessment....which has changed a fair bit since October '08.

I think $41k/$42k would be an acceptable offer for both sides. If you want a lower mileage one, I have a 91 with 20k on it.

This car was listed for $39k at a dealer. So given this, even amy suggestion of a $38k offer was too high.

At $38K, you are spitting distance from the bottom end of the 993 twin turbo market. That's a whole 'nuther animal and worth giving a hard look.
