your comments seem to be along the same lines i am thinking, the battry boxes are rusty and need replacing,it needs a patch in the rear floor, also,it has a 2.7 motor which is in need of a rebuild, rings at the very least, also a new interior, plus a paint job,i thought around$ 4,500, but do i need the work,or do i go for a realy good daily driver that is complete, and enjoy driving it instead of laying under it, i think i am leaning towards the later, what do you guys think? thanks, frank

From your brief description, it sounds like that car will need a lot of work/time/money to make it the "really good daily driver" that you want. It's not clear to me if the $4500 you mention is what you think the car is worth or what you estimate is the cost of repair, but nearly all here will agree there are no $4500 Porsches if that's what you meant (engine rebuild? new interior? rust in battery boxes and rear floor? full repaint?--you're already into five digits for repairs.) If it were my choice, I'd continue looking for the nearly complete, really good daily driver--spending more money upfront, but saving much in repairs, time, and replacement parts down the road.
