US Treasury seized.....

gotta love that!

Would be interesting to know the details on how this came into their possession.
Evasion of income taxes?

Maybe a chance to get one at a very low price.

I knew of a guy who once owned a P-51 Mustang (El Monte airport in SoCal), sweet plane. At the time they were worth around 250K to 300K.
The IRS took it for years of tax evasion.

Manheim is a big wholesaler. I just thought it odd that they'd use crappy cellphone pics and a wrong title ("911 GTS") on a $150k car.

I think they do that intentionally to just get as many folks to come look at the car, sort of playing stupid, the CL ad didn't say anything about $150K. They're looking for someone who is willing to pay a price but not smart enough to know what the real cost is.

Probably has some hard miles by undercover cops as well and no oil change.

I hate to think how hard you'd have to drive a track car like the RS to hurt it, but you're probably right about the oil changes.
I clicked around the Manheim website, but I couldn't find any more info. The ad says the auction is open to the public, but I think you have to be a dealer to use most of Manheim's services.
Fresno is a two hour drive for me. I still haven't decided if it's worth going to look at.

They will run it in the high line and believe me when I say that the guys there will not only know exactly what it is but they will bid the hell out of it, at least that is the way the Manheims work in Florida, we have a guy on here Terry who goes to them all the time.

Is Manheim just a wholesaler? So it would be a closed auction, if so, why would they put on CL?

Maybe because they're selling it for the government?
