whats a soft window targa tensioning handle worth?
got only one tensioning handle for a soft window targa... was trying to decide whether to slowly look for parts to convert a car, or just sell it.

soft window info
if you have just one handle, it will be even harder to find just one other
on the other hand , i sell a complete soft window kit included a pair of handles( OEM) the window frame the coupler the side spacer and ll the hardware to put it in and the window 1700 w o window or 2200 cad complete in both case the seal is not included as it is still available at the dealer

Personally I would post here and early S for a single... bound to be someone out there with just "one".
Tensioner receivers are pretty easy to reproduce, I'll loan you one if you get in a bind, but I bought a pair from Dan Petchel for a pretty fair price. I loanout out a targa hoop to a guy in the past to fab one up, and he was happy with the results and it looked correct when completed. There's a good thread on a conversion that was done here on Pelican and it can help you along on the hardware and fittings. I have access to a bare shell for photo's if you need, and I also have my two cars I can take pics of if you need for originality. Note that if buy your targa window from Tony at Autobahn (the best there is in my opinion...) he'll probably walk you through any difficulities. Note that he recently finished a conversion from hard window to softie on a 69, and he's done a lot of original softie SWB cars as well. You can use me as a reference when you talk to Tony. cheers, Eric Linden

I'd say +1 on Eric's assessment. I have 90% of a SWT setup I've been staring at on the shelf for years wondering if I should convert a car. The thread on the conversion is really good IIRC. Definitely worth a read before you make your decision. I think it'd be a fun project.
