A sell or trade proposition - how best to frame this?

I'm seeing if I can change p-cars using a trade approach (linked here http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-cars-sale/561048-wtt-wts-1987-911-3-8-rs-engine.html) but getting a lot of very fair asks about "how much is the car?!"

So help me out, what is the market these days going to bring for this unusual specimen? If I was out for top $, this would be a part it out job, no question. But I am looking for low effort, reasonable return in a trade (or sale if needed).

I think that car is going to be a tough sell at $35K. You are in prime 993 territory at that price and your car, while very nice, has nothing to offer over a nice 993.

IMO, you probably can get a small-to-medium premium over a similar condition stock 87 Carrera, albeit with a much smaller market of potential buyers.

Sale............ a double transaction unless w/ a dealer lowers prospects and speed.

Thanks for the advise guys. This sell or trade is just a late night random thought sort of process, although I have been thinking about getting a water-cooled boxer for a while now. If all I wanted was money, then the parts are coming off and it will be scattered to the winds. I'll leave the WTT/WTS post as is for now, and see what the next week or two brings.
