Blue C
IIRC it was 55k when it was listed previously.
If I had 55k when it was advertised I wouldn't be typing about it I would be out driving it. IMO Its a very special car. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/kv3V_THm36M?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/kv3V_THm36M?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

Way strong money. I simply don't get the pricing on this car comparatively speaking.
So many nicer examples, in rare colors too, for far less scratch. I could have bought this car about 15 years ago just as the Carrera craze was coming on, for $11,000 and it still had the 911 safety stripes on the hood. It was driver quality then, and even with the money invested to hotrod the engine, cosmetically It's a 10/20 footer at best today. |

I have people telling me in another thread that a "driver" '73S coupe is worth less than the asking price on this car.
So is it overpriced? Maybe. Or maybe it's the exact car someone out there with cash has been dreaming about for 36 years. That's the problem with treating vintage Porsches as if they were commodities. They are not.

More than one, I think the auction had several bidders at the top level....obviously more to this car than can be seen from my vantage or using comps. |

Yep, I don't get it. Sometimes I think half of us are crazy. It would be interesting to do a comparison (after the fact) as to what other Porsches you could pick for the selling price of this car...
