Value a 77 911s

I'm looking for a realistic value for my 77 911s sunroof coupe.
I have offered the car for sale here before and got some interest but no offers.
I bought the car as a roller (no engine no trans), bought a 2.7 L on e-bay and a 915 transmission (same seller). I had a time making it run right but after a new gas tank and multiple cleaning of the CIS system it now runs good. Has a puff of smoke at start up but not driving. I repaired some small oil leaks.
The car has been repainted guards red (not the original color) Looks good shines good, but not a flawless paint job. (pics to follow)
I replaced the shifter bushings, rear brake pads, plug wires, air and fuel filters, front A-arm bushings (rubber ones from ER).
The needs/wants include: rear bushings and sway bar (mount is broken), backdated exhaust (still has thermal reactors).
Since the pictures were taken I have polished the fuchs.

I do really like this car and still may decide not to sell it.
I have recently purchased a 77 targa so I now must decide which to keep

All input is welcome and thanks in advance

Ok I just read thread started by "calling911" regarding value for a 76.
sounds like my car is a little better off.

Value here really depends upon the motor quality.

The car is a non matching number car w/ painted a non original color. If it is a mechaniclly strong performing car it could trade as high as $12,000. less if still in need of sorting.

Nice looking car! Engine swap may reduce value somewhat in terms of uncertainty of mileage - which is what, BTW?

I'd be thinking that a reasonable value may lie in the $10-12K range depending on clean PPI and no other needs.

Cheers

d.

Thanks for all the input. BTW the car shows 114000 on the ODO and it works just fine so I belive it to be accurate.
I understand the engine is the wildcard. If I run compression and leakdown tests and those numbers are respectable, does that help?
What if I pulled the engine. Does the car have any value without the wildcard.
I understand everyones trepidation regarding the 2.7.
Spending 6 grand on an overhaul does not add enough to the value to justify the expense unless I keep and enjoy the car. (which btw is the way I"m leaning) This is a super fun car to drive!

Mileage is not too relevant since you've swapped drivetrains. Compression & leakdown will go a long way toward setting value. I would not value this car over $8500 not knowing those specs. Red is somewhat out of favor these days and color changes are a negative for many Porschephiles.

Well I've decided to focus on the targa. The coupe is For Sale. Thanks again for all the input. I hope to settle somewhere in between.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1302145269.jpg
