Unclear on the concept...

Here's a 964 on ebay advertised as "mint."
1991 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 MINT CONIDTION LOOK [sic]

From seller's description:

Absolutely no rust anywhere, (not even surface rust) except one spot beneath the bottom right corner of the windshield. This spot is actually rusted through and is about 2x3 inches big. Very unusual because its just one spot.. you can see in pictures.

The tail lights on the right side kind of separated and don't stick down right.

There are SOME minor dents and scratches on the right door. I saw another dent on the front bottom floor under the front hood next to the front bumper. This could be from a parking curb or something because the car sits so low.

The only problem with the car is that it won't start. I'm not too sure as to why. It cranks but won't start. When you turn the key the fuel pump doesn't make a sound. It DOES however start with starting fluid for a short time. This leads me to believe that the only issue with the car is the fuel pump. I checked the fuses and relays but they were ridiculously complicated and I didn't get anywhere.

All the fluids in the tranny and engine including gas have been changed.

Tires are a little dry rotted but hold pressure.

All brakes work. All electrical things also seem to work.

If you put the time in it, you could probably have a running show room condition car in a VERY short time.

I don't have a title to the car as I've bought it from the original owner who never got a title from the bank. Car is being sold with a bill of sale only.

I'm speechless...

Rusted through, tires dry rotted, scratches, faded red paint, no title, won't start...

So THAT's what "mint" means....good to know.

Well the seller is certainly a glass-half-full kinda guy.

I'd be afraid to even buy it at a "parts price" considering the lack of title.

The price is probably worth it other then you dont even know if the car he is selling is actually his to sell.

if the bank didn't give the PO the title, that probably means it has a lien on it. what a bonehead. listing has been removed.

I like the adds that state "the car is completely stock". And then go on to list all the non stock add on items. Cracks me up!
