Pricing: 1977 911S

Wondering how much this car would go for on the market today. It is a 77 911S (Sunroof) modified to look like a turbo with steel flares. About 90k miles on it. The engine and transmission have been changed for a 1982 carrera 3.0 engine and 915 transmission. The engine also has weber 40's and an MSD 6AL Multi Spark ignition and blaster coil. Interior is in near perfect condition as well as the interior with a wooden momo steering wheel.
Thanks!

sharing pics can also help. ANy suspension or brake changes? Its such a mixed beast that there are no firm values.. just what someone wants to pay. Depending on quality of work and what a buyers intent might be.. somewere in the as low as $8K range up to maybe $15K range is my guess.

Car is NOT cali friendly with carbs, so that limits a buyer pool. It actually would have an "SC" motor, not a carrera motor. If it has carbs, were the cams changed out or did someone get tired of CIS issues and simply replace? If stock cams, there woudn't be a performance advantage to the carb conversion. Wooden wheel is hit/miss from buyers perspective.

90K miles on engine? body?

Sorry about that I did mean to say SC engine, but yes the cams were switched out. The engine itself has 90k miles on it but unclear as to how many miles the body has.

The 2 valuable things on the car are the wheels as they look like factory 8s and 9s, and the rear spoiler. If the wheels are factory Fuchs 16s, then they'd be worth about $2. The rear spoiler looks like the early non intercooled turbo tail. If it is an OEM part, it is worth upwards of $1k. If it is an aftermarket tail, I'd guess $500.

Well, I like it. Where is the car located? Location has a lot to do with values.

Seriously - mine is a 1974 - bought last year. Modified to a turbo look - Mine had a rebuilt engine - so may be of similar value.

3.0 is a solid engine - webers are desirable - So - maybe on the high side 16K or so - on the low - 14K

It's located in texas for the moment. The problem is that I live in California and to bring it over without changing the carbs would be quite difficult

??? Can you be more specific?

What is the value statement based on? I assume your statement of "no value as a car" is based on an investment point of view, not as driver's point of view.

How would this car drive differently than "more valuable" 911s?
Wouldn't it be perfect as a DE car or a track car?
Wouldn't it faster than an SC because it is a lighter, earlier car?
Wouldn't have less rust risk than the earlier rust prone cars?

I would argue a 77 with an SC motor is a $15K or more driver's car depending on condition and what it needs.
