Fuchs question 9x15

Does anyone have any sense of the current market value for a pair of original 9x15 Fuchs? Thanks

Depends entirely on condition. Perhaps $5K+ per pair for NOS, maybe $4K for a good pair in need of refinishing, and as low as $1500 for a beater pair with signs of repair and also needing refinishing, such as those offered recently on the S Registry (with a pair of 8s that are worth $300) here: Fuchs 8 & 9 X 15 -- ready to refinish $1800 all.

Porsche Classic is missing an opportunity by not reissuing the 9 and 11 x 15" Fuchs with the prices they are fetching these days, as they have with the the 6x15 and 8&9x16 Fuchs.
HTH,

Thanks Tom. I had not seen the wheels on the Early S Registry, so that helps as well. Do you know how the 15x9's came finished from the factory?

Ah, yes, I forgot that they did reissue the 9x15 as of a year ago, but not the 11x15 yet, that I have seen. You can order them from Sunset Porsche for around $1450/ea. They come with full black centers now, though, and I believe the originals had raw spokes, so a refinish would need to be added to the price to compare to a NOS set from the 70s. A restorer in the UK is selling the 9x15 now refinished to original RSR look (except of course the date stamp would be a giveaway for the concours nuts) for 1050 British Pounds, which converts to almost $1700USD, plus shipping, at current exchange rates.

Maybe they will add the 11x15 soon.
