deck lid trade

I have an 84 Carrera deck with the Carrera tail in very good condition in guards red. I would like to trade for the same w/o the tail. If the decks are the same color then I don't really need to do anything so I'm fine with a straight across trade but is it unrealistic to want a few hundred if not the same color. I'm assuming that the Carrera tail would add some value?? This, at least, would cover painting.
