Help with value of 77' 911S
Greetings, first time poster here looking to get some feedback on what my car is worth or what I should do with it. I picked it a couple months ago in a trade deal with my boss at work. I haven't had time to do any work on it yet but here is what I know so far.
1977 911s with 323,000 miles chassis #9117202422, 3.0 conversion engine #6460058 type 930/16,with lots of upgrades, car starts runs and stops very well. Body is rust free but needs lots of love. Interior is shot too. All in all the car is complete and honestly runs beautiful, just looks like hell! Hit me with what you think, open to any ideas. Thanks, Matt ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Not sure what its worth, but I wish I had somewhere to put it and work on it. Love narrow bodies with the 3.0.
What is the paint code ? Is there any rust When the 3.0 was put in, were the engine monitoring systems and brakes upgraded ? Last edited by sm70911; 09-05-2011 at 11:31 AM.. Reason: - |

Not sure on the paint code. Yes as far as I can tell, all the correct CIS engine management systems are on the car and functioning correctly. Aux air reg and lambda system are a go and it just had a new WUR installed also. The PO said he updated the brakes but I haven't pulled a wheel to get a closer look yet. It does have a new master cylinder. I did get a stack of receipts and a reputable shop down in Venice Ca did the engine swap at 198,000 mi as well as added the turbo valve covers and the oil fed tensioners.

I checked it for rust and I don't see anything major, even the smugglers box looks good and the floor pan is straight! there has been some sheet metal replaced around the battery and around the front of the gas tank? not sure if she was hit or if it was because of a rust or battery leak issue.
