Gulf Oil Can value
These were saved from the clean-out of an estate we are the executors of. I'm a rally guy so I know exactly jack about these, but my brother is a Porsche guy (and I did restore cars for a decade or so), so I imagine these might have some value to the Gulf Oil/917 etc. collector crowd, but I have no idea if it is $5 a can or $40 a can. The cans are in great shape, bottoms are still shiny, they have been opened, but still have grease in them and I haven't opened them. I presume they are from the 1950's or 60's?
I would appreciate any help in valuing these for the estate. The one in my hand is the "Cup Grease No. 3" (which sounds cool) and the other is simply "High Pressure Grease." Thanks for you help! ![]() -Dan McGinn Funny, been trolling since 2009 and first post. ![]() |
