value of hella 118 driving lights

So i have a set of driving lights off a 914-6 that i have been told are euro only. I did post "what are these?" and got a lot of " ill take them for 150.00". I had 15 emails in one day.
I have tryed to find any for sale. There was a pair NOS for 1000.00. One has the silver rubbed off under the HELLA. not rusty.

So what are they worth?

There was a 911 chrome driving light set that went for $1k recently on EBay, yes. They were listed as 911, NOS and Porsche boxed. However, someone is going to get a nasty surprise because they were a mismatched set. One of them was proper Porsche spec and the other was aftermarket.

At any rate, all the 914 lights I've had and sold seemed to be about 70-75% of the 911 value. I could sell a set of 911 lights all day at $700 and the same set in 914 guise would go for $500.

They look to have the later lenses which are epoxy sealed to the reflectors which cuts down on refurb options. The early version had a separate lense, reflector and with a seal.

The loss of silvering on the one reflector looks like someone found out how thin the plating was by trying to "clean" it with a soft rag. If it was a fog lense, you'd probably never notice but, becomes obvious with the clear driving light lense.

Bezels look pretty good but, the case backs need to be seen. 914 cases are notorious for rot. One of the lights is missing the bezel clip and screw and the brackets have a fair amount of patina.

I'd say $400 because they are driving light lenses instead of fogs.
