1969 911S sold for under $15K???
could this have been real?
a numbers matching 69s in good running condition selling for less than $15K? Or am I missing something? Yeah the respray didn't add the value it could have if it had been done right, and the interior is ugly, and that motor doesn't look like it was rebuilt. But still is the market now that soft for the S? Why I'm asking: I have a lead on a 1969 911 (unknown if it's a T, E, or S) that I'm dreaming of and won't have pics until Monday. I've been researching the best and worst case scenario of what a 69 is worth. Richard

There is at least one seller of Porsches in that area who does not actually have the cars. Not saying this is the one, but he does have a 'worst eBay experience ever' feedback in his history.
Also note the auction was ended because of the car being sold, which is different from the auction ending with a winning bid. So $15K is likely not the "winning bid." Ebay is tricky.
