Matching numbers resource
Hello,
Can someone point me to a resource to determine if the 1974 911 I am looking at has matching numbers (car/trans/engine). Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. John |

Either post the numbers here and someone can look them up and tell you or buy this book:

Even the RedBook won't tell you if the motor & trans are the same ones that the car left the factory with; RedBook will give you a range of numbers that can give you a pretty good idea, but the only way to be certain is to order a COA from Porsche or to find original delivery documentation. If you contact PCNA by phone, they may provide you with a confirmation that the engine is original to the car, but they have been a bit more difficult about doing this lately.
