Medium term value increase G50 Carrera vs 930
Just curious, I'm wondering what you guys think has the best value increase potential in the medium term (say 5-10years) between G50 Carrera ('87-'89) vs 930 assuming both are a stock standard and unmodified.
I own an 88 G50 which I absolutely love, but have always loved the 930's as well. I'm not looking to change but just curious..... |
Turbos, IMO, tend to under valued now. This coupled with lower production volume will give it greater potential for upside.

I think the 930 has the better long term potential to hold its value or potentially increase. IMO, there has already been a slight uptick in prices in the last 2-3 years.

Turbo...
Find an '89 turbo with the G50 in any color beside red, black, or white - I think that's going to be the pick of the litter.

Turbo.
The G50s have already started their appreciation... |

Turbo over a G50 anyway.
1) Turbos look better 2) Faster cars, onced owned you will understand 3) IMHO the 930's are a great buy now. 4) Much less made then G50 The only problem with both cars, that being 25 years old it's getting harder to find a stock unmolested car. I find the 930's very hard to find stock with original paint and interior. |

930.. they are more scarce and more exciting than the regular carrera.

Turbo...but, almost all will cost you more throughout this time frame so you net less.
As the say goes: "ALL Turbos have a recent rebuild (you pay more up front) or need one (you pay while you own). Garage queens also apply because the seals in them take a set then leak. |
