964 w/ 3.8; what's it worth?

Car is a '90 C2 coupe, CA car, no accidents/rust/bodywork, 145k mi, good (not pristine) paint, interior good.

3.8L conversion & complete overhaul (JEs, Carrillos, 993RS valves, Aasco springs/retainers, GT3 oil pump etc) by reputable shop ~15k mi ago, trans rebuilt 5k mi ago. JICs, big reds, odds and ends.

Kind of an oddball, but what would you expect this car to change hands for?

Will it pass smog? My guess would be that it probably wouldn't and that can be a big negative if selling to a Ca resident.

really depends upon the quality of the rebuild..... can you post pictures? A very clean car will go for $20K +\- 2K.

How old is the rebuild? I'd think by now many tracked stock, 1990 911's would benefit from arebuild. To me, the 3.8 is a plus (unless you are turning it into a stock class racecar). More hp and tq.. whats not to like?

Not completely up to date on pricing, but with that mileage and a stock 3.6 i'd think $16-18. So maybe $20-22?

The prior numbers seem right. I'm looking around A few criteria that seem to matter:
> CA smog, absolutely.
> straight car? or wrecked/ salvage?
> 145K miles- so what's the rest of the car going to need. tranny OK?
> A/C? most will be lookig for a street/autocross car.
> is it a 20 footer, or detail queen. (I'd rather have a driver, but that seems to be a minority opinion). then start looking at the interior/headliner/etc

but it sounds like it could be a fun car and a nice upgrade to my 87 g50 coupe.

pleae send a few pictures when you get time...
