Special editon 88' Carera??
Porsche Targa 1988
Anyone know anything about this model? Owner said it came with 15" wheels. ?? Just curious.

Yup... Anniversay edition, celebrating 25 years of the 911. A copy of Ferry Porsche's sig on the headrests. Maybe a dash plaque. Special color. Available in coupe, targa and cab.
Yes, cars came with 15" wheels, color coded.

Thanks for the replies. This is the second one of these, that I know about, here on Oahu. Does the "Special Edition" thing add appreciably to the value, or are they priced similarly to an 88' Carrera of equal condition? I'm a little surprised to know of two of these right here. Maybe they aren't that rare. ??

Jon - It is the Commemorative Edition Carrera. The Silver Anniversary Carrera is silver with silver wheels. That CE is located in Hawaii Kai near the Kalama Valley Center. There is another cab I see on Kal Hwy that is the same color. IMHO, the asking price (for Hawaii) is on the high side. Considering Tom sold his 88 for @ $11k, I think the selling price for that one is closer to $15k or so.
