Interesting '76 on Ebay

Anybody else seen what's described as a '76 911 on the popular Internet auction site (item number 290698949211)? The description is sparse (Endail build?) and the photos are weak, but that's definitely a mechanical injection engine. Is it a 2.7 or 3.0? Might be worthwhile for someone close to take a look.

It definitely "looks" like it could be a 911/83. Mentor is right in the heart of Ohio Porsche country. Someone in the Cleveland area must know that car.

I am 99% sure this is the car I almost bought about 2 years ago. Funny because supposedly it had sold. Seller claims Andial motor but had no paperwork for it. I called Andial and I forget who I spoke with but they told me they would have remembered building that engine as they never did one like that with mech injection. They even asked seller to call. It never went any further for me.

Looked like good deal at the time but there were some other issues.

You mean you've never heard of Jimmy Endail, of "Endail Porsh Speed Shop" fame?

Guy used to build 350hp engines using soda cans for cylinder liners. Amazing mechanic and engineer. Never gets the credit he deserved.

I think he closed his shop back in the early 80s and went to work for Motormeister.

I'm not convinced the body is a '76. Obviously the flares don't mean anything, too often changed. But the tire pressure decal lists staggered 16" sizes. No 16" offered on a '76, and putting the later sticker on seems a bit unlikely. A '78 SC with bright trim? (And MFI...)

Is it possible that it's a Carrera 3.0 with an MFI engine?
