73 RS replica values?

What would be a fair asking price for my 78SC conversion?

Reason I'm asking is there is another long time project I'm looking to build and I don't think I can keep them both.

Granted, it's far from perfect and lacks creature comforts like a/c and a radio. Engine is a stock 3.0 cis with an M&K sport muffler. Biggest issue is the 915 trans that is need of 1st and maybe 2nd gear synchros.

I did take the outer shell to bare metal and replaced/repaired what little rust the car had.

For those that have not seen it here are the links to the build:

Thanks!

Nice car. I have a yellow one w/ 70' Chasis and 3.0 Carrerra motor. A beast. I think being the chasis is a 78' and title that way you might have chase a few buyer away. But a nice car indeed.

Thanks for the compliment

Even though it is a '78 at least there's the benefit of an galvanized chassis, aside from the early front fenders which are untreated originals.

Replicas are slow sales. Auto Kennel has done very nicely with pricing and selling them. They currently have a RS replica on EBay & their website for $57,000. I would reach out to Paul. He is a very nice chap. I am sure he can guide you.

Your car looks great. What type of interior does it have?

Thanks for the tip and compliment!

My interior is just your standard black RS carpet kit with rear seat delete, and a pair of Corbeau sport seats(non-reclinable). It does have the stock SC safety belts as well as Crow 5 point harnesses, aluminum pedals, Hargett shifter and RS-style dash. And RS style door panels.

PM ok?

Hi - Just spent an enjoyable couple of hours reading through your threads. A lot of work, but you have created an exceptionally beautiful car!

If its ok, I'd like to pm you with a few questions - depending on price, etc., I'm interested in discussing a possible purchase.

Thanks,

Patrick
