Crazy Pricing on an '87 Carrera?
65 K for this car? It's super low mileage and Special Wishes color scheme, but otherwise it seems like Richard Sloan is sticking a 100 percent markup on a perfectly ordinary 1987 Carrera.
Your thoughts? Will it actually sell at this price? 1987 911 Carrera White Gold/ Pearl White leather 13,374 miles | Sloancars

special wishes
Its a beautiful car, but its only a special wishes if you're the one that wanted the color scheme. It wouldn't have been my first choice for a special wishes. I think I would go for a dolphin gray with dark red or tobacco interior special wishes scheme.

Mileage goes a lot these days and that's super duper low mileage.

Sure its overpriced, but how else can you find the upper limit for the market? Certainly an unusually spec'd '87. With each mile added though, its value will drop.

These cars aren't museum pieces yet. And not driving them is a crime. With this mileage, there are all sorts of things that are bound to be wrong with the car, mostly from having sat, unused. MAYBE this car is worth $30k. |

Sloan is over priced in everything. His cars don't sell at those prices either. A couple of years ago he had an 83 SC coupe which was almost the twin of a car I had, mine hs slightly fewer miles and he was asking 49k. So I said great if you're getting 49k for yours what would you pay for mine? When he thought I was a buyer the car was easily worth 49k and I had better make a move quickly before it was gone, he didn't think I could find another. When he found out I was a seller his bid for my car was a joke. Now I understand he is in the business to make money but IMO most of those cars wont ever sell anywhere near his offering price and quite a few of them are not even in his inventory. I would not use his site for pricing guidance.

Yes Sloan prices are through the roof, typically 25% higher than most other sellers. I could see paying more if this color combination is desirable but the price of this 87 is in the stratosphere!
