1967 Prsche 912 Price Help

Hi

I do not know 912 prices.
Car is a 912 Targa called a soft window targa....
Aga (dark) blue with black interior
About a condition #3 car, with some surface rust on rear fender, tail light area.
But no rust thru pans OK..
The owner started at 35k, but is willing to negotiate, but I see few of these cars.
Bruce Anderson says about 20k...

Can not load a picture...

Thanks for comments.

If this car is a fully restored SWT then maybe...just maybe..it's in the $30k range. I would look at Sport Car Market and see what the latest ones at auction have sold for. Depending on where the car is located, I would pay for someone to go look at the car and evaluate it for you. If it's in southern Cal, there should be plenty of people to help out. Please go to the 912 Registry and look at what has sold recently as well.

That sounds like a $10-$15k car but that's just based on your general description.

Personally, while I love the SWB 912 coupes, I would rather have a 914 than a 912 targa.
So to me even BA's $20k is pretty strong for the car described.
But for some reason the soft window targas are taking off, both 911s and 912s.
Get 'em while they're hot!

I never understood the SWT hoopla...until i got one They are very unique in looks and sound/ feel when driving. There are no $10-$15k SWT's. They start at $25k and only go up.

Thanks Guys

I never understood the hoopla for 912's either. Because they claim....who is they, I do not know, that it's the same costs as a 911 to restore. But I drove one, it's a blast to drive, better then the 356.... Plus prices are good, for now..

But lately, a lot of 912's are coming to the market at crazy prices. The Excellence mag talks about owning one because it's 10k plus cheaper then same year 911.

Do not know about the 25k prices. But I thought these SWB, SWT are very rare...can 't get anybody to agree on how many made and was it just for 1967 & 68? But some guy has a 69 SWT, is this a repo?

Bill
